He's of the colour of the nutmeg. And of the heat of the ginger.... he is pure air and fire; and the dull elements of earth and water never appear in him, but only in patient stillness while his rider mounts him; he is indeed a horse, and all other jades you may call beasts. ~William Shakespeare, Henry V

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

Since Darren was gone, I went and washed cloths on Saturday at my moms. I didn't have a whole lot to do either now since Darren isn't working that sanitaion job so it's almost cut my laundry in half. My mom was thinking of meeting my dad in Rugby for dinner when he was on his way home from Minot but it looked like we were going to get some rain so she stayed home and finished mowing her yard. When dad came home, he had mom unthaw some hamburger and he made burgers for all of us. They were really good! When I was taking my stuff to the car as I was getting ready to leave, I was rolling up the car windows so the interior wouldn't get wet if it did rain but the drivers window wouldn't roll up at all. I could hear the motor working and it would stop running when the window was supposed to be up or down but the glass never moved. My dad came out and checked it and it turns out that there is a gear that either wore out or broke. Dad did get the window up but he told me to absolutely not roll it back down because we wouldn't get it back up again. When Darren his home over the weekend he is going to check this parts car that we got and see if the inside of the doors are the same, if they are, then he can take the stuff out of the door that he needs. Stupid Car. But at least it does have air conditioning. Sunday my Home Interior rep called and my stuff came in. She met me at The Farm House, a restaurant in Leeds. I ran a couple of orders out to people and tonight and tomorrow when I go to work I am going to give the rest of the orders away. I am happy I got my stuff! Then around 5 pm we went up to visit my brother in Rolla. I had a shirt for him and my mom and dad had a few things because Wednesday is his birthday. Then we went out to the Chicken Hut to eat. Mike and Cassie played their car game again. Uncle Mike was in first place with 30 seconds left to go and then Cassie pressed a button and screwed him all up...oh well. He knew the risks when he started playing games like that with her. Darren made it home around 7 so we were able to visit a bit and enjoy the evening together until he had to get up at 7 am and leave back for Harvey. Darren will not be home now until Thursday evening. I don't know what Cassie and I are going to do without him. I have a friend in Leeds who has a little boy and they get along really good. Maybe I will have to spend a lot of time at her place. At least this way Cassie won't be bored and then I and Carson's mom can have some adult conversation...you know, the "girl talk" conversations that you don't talk about when your husbands are around. I am looking forward to that.
