He's of the colour of the nutmeg. And of the heat of the ginger.... he is pure air and fire; and the dull elements of earth and water never appear in him, but only in patient stillness while his rider mounts him; he is indeed a horse, and all other jades you may call beasts. ~William Shakespeare, Henry V

THURSDAY

In the early afternoon Darren and I ran into DL since I had the day off from work because this would be the only day Darren and I really had together until he left for Harvey. We ran to
Amadon's new store and hung out there for quite a while. Cassie loved running around the nice open space of the store and she danced to music that Amadon had playing on his computer. After Amadon's we went and checked out MBP Computers down a few blocks from Amadon. It wasn't too bad of a place, they have some sports stuff and hunting things along with all the computer stuff. There was a really nice gun cabinet that I would like to get for Darren when we move but I will have to check and see what they want for it because there wasn't a price on it. Then we ran to our banks and then we ate and left for home. When we got to Leeds, we dropped Cassie off with my mom and we made it up to the bar so Darren could have his last drinks with his old co-workers. It was actually really fun and a couple co-workers even gave him a couple of cards and a gift. Then we left the bar so that Darren could get air in the trailer tires so I could get Tango to the vet on Friday. At 7:30, I went to the prayer service for Ralph at the Leeds Lutheran Church in Churchs Ferry. It was pretty sad, but then, I didn't expect it to be really fun either. People got up and said some really nice things about him and even the family shared some pretty funny storied. The boys are doing good execpt for the youngest. He had been going into shock since his father died and at the service, he went into shock so bad that they had to call the ambulance from Leeds and take him to the hospital for medication. I was told that the poor guy doesn't go into the farm house anymore unless it's to grab something quickly and then he goes right back out. Also, he can't use the bathroom there at all. It freaks him out too bad. On my way back to York I picked up the horse trailer at my parents and then came home. Cassie was already in bed and Darren was watching some TV. We watched a few shows and had good conversations before we went to bed.
