He's of the colour of the nutmeg. And of the heat of the ginger.... he is pure air and fire; and the dull elements of earth and water never appear in him, but only in patient stillness while his rider mounts him; he is indeed a horse, and all other jades you may call beasts. ~William Shakespeare, Henry V

OH WHAT TO DO

While we were out eating yesterday with Amadon and Josie, Darren got a call on his cell phone. It was the driver from Schwan's that has been letting Darren stay with him and his wife to save money. Word had been getting around Harvey that Darren was staying there when Greg wasn't there and it didn't look good and Greg's parents got into an argument with Greg's wife about Darren staying there. Greg's wife talked to Greg about it and Greg went to talk to his parents. I guess his parents are really old school and they didn't like how it looked but it's not like Darren is some young single guy. They all know he's married, has a daughter and another child on the way. In the long run, Greg thought it was best if Darren didn't stay with them anymore because of the friction with the family. It's totally understandable though, I know that Darren wouldn't be comfortable with someone that I meet and in a week have him move in while Darren is gone. That wouldn't look good and in a small town there is sure to be some kind of rumors flying around about it. Darren called Greg back later and talked to him and Darren can stay with them on nights that Greg will be home. It will only be one or two days a week but it will save $60 a week on a hotel room. Now we just need to see if we can work out the other $90 he will be spending on a hotel or we are going to have to come up with something quickly. I told Darren since I am not working, we can find a 3 bedroom apartment or home to rent and we can all move down there and shut off the utilities here at the trailer then we would only have just the house payment. It's better to do that then pay rent, a loan, and utilities in two different homes. We will have to see cause then there is the expense of trying to move down there.

Maybe you could talk to the managers of any of the area hotels and see if you could work out a negotiated rate with them. A lot of managers jump at the chance to have long term repeat business.

You can definately get discounts on hotels rooms...you know that you used to work at one! That family was a little touchy about the whole thing I think, if it concerned them thats okay, they didn't have to make such a big deal out of it... coulda just expressed their opinion right away!

Thanks. The funny thing about it is that I am due the day before Billy's baby too.
