GOT SOME PAINTING DONE
I amazed myself this morning by getting the wall I started to paint yesterday finished. After Jessie had breakfast, I put her in the swing where she almost immediately fell asleep and decided to try and paint even though Cassie was up and I knew she would try and help. Cassie surprised me by actually sitting on the floor behind me and watched me paint while she scribbled in her notebook. Now all I have to do is put up the border and one whole wall is finished. I was going to try and take before and after pictures but there is so much junk in the room, I couldn't take a decent picture of the wall.
After I got done painting I called Brandi and we talked for a bit. Brandi was working on a paper about Shakespeare that she had to have done Wednesday but needed the break. After I got done talking to Brandi I gathered the girls and we went over to my moms.
My mom made ginger snap cookies today so I took a bunch over to Tanya Broden's parents and I took Jessie with me. Marcie was happy to see Jessie and they showed me this beautiful wooden mirrored hutch they have in their living room that has some pics of Tanya, some of Tanya's things, and stuff they have gotten as memorials. It's really wonderful to see. We only stayed about an hour because Jessie started to get hungry and we had to get back to Nana's and pick up Cassie because Cassie went with Nana and they took cookies over to Hazel Dooley, a really pleasant elderly lady that also lives in Leeds. Cassie even came back with a dollar that Hazel gave her while she was there.
The other day when I went into town, I stopped at the Antiochia Cemetary where Tanya is and I was there for about 10 minutes or so. I am thinking of fixing up a cute little Easter basket out of an basket here at the house I don't use anymore and glue some plastic grass and fake Easter eggs in it and taking it out and leaving it at the cemetery for Tanya. I'm not 100% sure if I am going to do it or not but I think it would be a nice gesture. I miss her and think about her at least 3 times a day.
**April, you need to come home so I can show you where Tanya is laid to rest**
