GETTING BY

At my doctor appointment on Friday I learned that my incision is a medical phenomenon. In his entire career, the OB/GYN has never had a problem with incisions such as mine. The OB/GYN said that the part of the incision that keeps coming open may have to be surgically removed entirely and then sewn closed again; however, this doesn't mean that this problem is fixed and will not happen again. It's very possible that it could keep happening after the surgery. He wants me to see the surgeon to see if that is what the surgeon would do. Otherwise, the only option left is plastic surgery which I will not do. Besides, that isn't covered by my insurance anyway. So in August I have an appointment to see the surgeon to get a second opinion. I am very upset because I know that the incision will open at least once more before August.

Since coming back home from Upsilon Lake on Sunday, Cassie has been begging to go back. I have been thinking about maybe going back up there sometime this week after my house is all together and maybe even on the weekend since this weekend is supposed to be warm again. It will be really fun when both girls are older and we can stay over night in the cabin. My cousin Sherry and her husband are going to come down sometime this week. They are going to go with my parents and get some wood so that they have lumber for a floating dock for the cabin and a deck for my parents house.

I have been super busy. Finals for my classes are due by the 22nd. My next three classes don't start now until August 22nd so I will have a little break between which is nice. I got the girls new bedroom totally cleaned out and I got the nursery all cleaned up and it is now the toy room. I have a big book shelf in there for books, I have a TV stand that right now holds my old Philip/Magnavox stereo so the kids can listen to there little kid CD's or just listen to the radio while they play. I even found a place for the hobby horse that Cassie got from Santa last year and I have room for a rocking chair for myself when the girls want me to stay in there with them.

I want to make-over our bathroom. I want to do a rubber ducky theme for the kids. I realize, that yes, some day the girls will grow up and the duckys won't be that cute anymore, but I still want to do it. Darren even thought a rubber duck theme would be nice.

I have be spending way to much time at my mom and dad's place. I need to get out of the habit of going over there every day. My parents have raised their kids and when I am over there doing home work, Cassie is running around tearing their house up. My mom even told me that raising my kids at her house may not be the best thing. When your parents say that kind of stuff to you, you know they are fed up.

Since I haven't been going over there, I have been getting really bored and a little lonely. I clean and straighten up the house but I can only do so much of that. I have started to really miss Brandi and Carson. I miss April a lot too. I just wish there was something to do here in York because gas is getting expensive. There really isn't anyone here to hang out with either so Cassie even gets bored and I think that is half the reason why she acts up so much. Maybe letting her drink out of my coffee cup has something to do with it too. I just seems when we go places and when she is in the car she is an angel.

To help keep myself occupied, I work on the girls scrapbooks. They are coming along really nice and Jessie's is almost caught up.

I am hoping that if my mom comes by today, she will stay long enough to for to take Luna out for a ride but we will have to see what happends. I am sure she needs to get the house ready for when Sherry and Kevin come down.
